17 Year Old Teenager Girl Who Recorded George Fyod's Death Has Been Forced To Flee From Her Home

George Floyd's death at the hands of Minneapolis police is continuing to drive a nationwide and even global attention.

Former officer Derek Chauvin has since been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd's death.

The teenage girl who recorded the incident has been forced to flee from her home due to online bullies.

Darnella Frazier, 17, has been criticized by many Americans online. ,they blamed her for not stepping in while the police officers were oppressing George Flyod.

The girl's attorney, Seth B. Cobin, said that Frazier and her family are no longer staying in their South Minneapolis home, which is around the corner from where Flyod was killed.

In an interview with the police , Frazier said she's been overwhelmed since she witnessed Floyd's death. "I watched this man die. I was the one that was recording the whole thing. I've seen him die," she said. "I posted the video last night, and it just went viral. And everybody's asking me how do I feel? I don't know how to feel. It's so sad, bro. This man was literally right here, 8 p.m. yesterday."

The attorney recounted what happened on the day of the incident , the teenager and her cousin went to the store to buy something, while on the store they saw this chaos going on and the police extracting somebody from a vehicle . She then got up closer, saw what was happening, pulled out her phone and started recording.

This happened in the presence of a group of people, including Darnella and her cousin.

The lawyer said: “What she filmed is one of the most shocking things I’ve ever seen and one of the most shocking things these hardened, very experienced investigators have ever seen.

“When she recounted it, it was the first time she had re-lived the event fully. It was very emotional for her and for everybody sitting in that room.”

Since the video has gone viral, Frazier feels she has been the target of unfair criticism.

The teenager addressed the criticism she has been receiving on her Facebook post, :" If it wasn't for me four cops would have still have their jobs ,causing other problems.

My video went world wide for everyone to see and to know ,his family was reached out to !! The police most definitely would have swept it under the rug with a cover up story . Instead of bashing me 'THANK ME' because that could have been one of your loved ones and you would want to see the truth as well.

Anyone with something negative to say ,plse block me . I am not forcing you to watch me". She wrote on her Facebook post.

Derek Chauvin, was charged with second-degree murder after video showed him placing his knee on Mr Floyd's neck for more than eight minutes while detaining him on 25 May.

Three more former Minneapolis police officers were charged on Wednesday .

Oprah winfrey said "It's not enough to just say 'It's so terrible.' We can't tolerate hate crimes perpvmetrated by authorities in this country. We need to speak up and say 'That will not happen on my watch.' We're going to do the work that it takes to dismantle in our own way.”
