A majority of Minneapolis City Council has pledged to dismantle the local police department, a significant move amid nationwide protests sparked by George Floyd's death last month. Nine of the 13 councillors said a "new model of public safety" would be created in a city where law enforcement has been accused of racism. Mayor Jacob Frey earlier opposed the move, drawing boos from the crowds. Anti-racism rallies have been held after Floyd's death in police custody. However, security measures across the country were lifted on Sunday as unrest started to ease. Mr Floyd's funeral is scheduled for Tuesday in Houston, his home city before he moved to Minneapolis. The Post Office prosecuted postmasters over missing money despite having evidence its own computer system could be to blame. Hundreds were accused after the Horizon system showed cash shortfalls at their branches. But a BBC Panorama investigation has revealed managers knew problems with Horizon could make money disappear. The Post Office says its new leadership has made changes and is working closely with postmasters to provide support. Postmasters up and down the country were held responsible for missing money because they supposedly had sole control of their Horizon accounts. It led to many being fired, going bankrupt or even sent to prison. But senior Post Office managers were told back in 2011 that computer technicians also had access to the system and could change postmasters' data. Those arriving by plane, ferry or train - including UK nationals - will have to provide an address where they will self-isolate and face fines of up to £1,000 if they do not follow the rules. Home Secretary Priti Patel said the laws are designed "to prevent a second wave" of coronavirus. But some industries have warned they will be severely impacted by the rules. Anyone arriving from the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man does not have to complete the form or enter quarantine. There are also exemptions for workers in some industries such as road haulage and medical professionals who are providing essential care. Crashes are common on highways in Ghana because of poor maintenance, disregard for traffic regulations, and bad roads. Twenty-five people, including women and children, were killed on Sunday evening on the 7 june when two buses collided on a busy road in  Ghana  kintampo Road. The accident, which happened in the Bono East region near the town of Kintampo, about 430km (270 miles) from the capital Accra, also left three peoples in critical condition. "I can confirm that the death toll has risen to 35," Bono East Regional Minister Kofi Amoakohene said today evening at the premises of the accident The minister said 27 of the victims were "burnt beyond recognition". A single coal mine in Poland's Upper Silesia region is behind a record spike in the country's confirmed coronavirus cases, the health ministry says. Over the weekend 1,151 new infections were recorded nationally. An outbreak among miners and their families at the Zofiowka colliery in southern Poland accounted for two-thirds of that figure. The global number of deaths from coronavirus has now passed 400,000. There have been 6.9 million infections. Poland introduced a strict lockdown early in March, and has avoided the comparatively large number of deaths seen in Western Europe. In Poland, 1,157 people have died from Covid-19 and 26,561 have been infected but the stubborn persistence of cases in Upper Silesia mean the country has not passed its peak. The U.S. Marine Corps on Friday ordered all public displays of the Confederate flag removed, a ban that extends to bumper stickers, clothing, mugs, posters and more. The order directs Marine Corps commanders to find and remove displays of the flag in "work places, common-access areas, and public areas" on base. "The Confederate battle flag has all too often been co-opted by violent extremist and racist groups whose divisive beliefs have no place in our Corps," a notice posted by the U.S. Marines on Twitter says. Exceptions to the order include state flags that include the Confederate flag and Confederate soldiers' gravesites. Individual barracks, living quarters and private vehicles will not be inspected, the order says. In April, top Marine Gen.
